23-06 CABIN by OFFICE INAINN revitalizes and expands a family cabin in Hvaler Kommune, a stunning coastal retreat in southern Norway. Known for its serene archipelago, Hvaler is a hub for modern vacation architecture, blending nature with design.

Modern Expansion with Respect for Tradition
The project involved updating a cherished wooden cabin for the next generation—a growing family needing more space. Preserving the cabin’s original pitched roof, the design added a new module that mirrors this iconic feature. Adhering to local regulations, a semi-courtyard was created, opening to the southern sun and providing a private outdoor space for family relaxation.
