The exhibition “Study of Spatial Geometric Figures” explores the transformation of simple geometric shapes into complex spatial forms. Through a series of drawings, a concrete object, and detailed process documentation, the exhibition examines how basic elements like lines and angles evolve into multidimensional structures.
At the core is the concept of Coherent Form, inspired by Juliusz Żórawski. This idea starts with simple shapes—like a cross formed by intersecting lines—serving as the foundation for further exploration.
The exhibition also presents the Uniform Shape, created by rotating forms around their axis, resulting in a perfectly symmetrical structure.
In the Amorphic Form section, geometric shapes are juxtaposed with natural, irregular patterns, challenging the boundaries between the man-made and the organic.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a concrete object that embodies Positive Internal Space. This piece was developed through the physical shaping of voids, capturing the dual nature of space—both as a negative and a positive form.
Maksymilian Sawicki’s exhibition brings these concepts together in a clear, tangible way, offering a fresh perspective on geometry and space. The exhibition is on display at NAPRZECIW gallery, Solna 4, Poznań. For more information, visit www.naprzeciw.net.
